Easy Vegan Friendly Easter Treats

There is nothing better than a sweet treat. With Easter fast approaching, and everything going on in the current climate, I thought I’d put together a super simple vegan friendly easter treat that doesn’t require flour!! These vegan friendly lovelies take little to no effort to make and you don’t have to use vegan friendly ingredients if you really don’t want to.

You will need;

1 Orange

1 cup Coconut Cream

2 cup Vegan Friendly Chocolate

Some kind of mold

Chocolate Mold

Take the 1 cup of chocolate and melt in a bowl over a pan of hot water. Once melted, place into mold to start forming a shell. Place mold in the fridge to set. Whilst it setting, make your ganache. Make sure you do quite thick layers, otherwise when you take them out of the molds at the end, they will just brake and fall apart, but don’t use all the chocolate as you’ll need more later!

For The Ganache

Put the coconut cream into a saucepan and gently heat up. Once it starts to bubble, turn the heat right down and add 1 cup of chocolate. Mix until combined. Then, get your orange and zest! You can add as little or as much zest as you like. As you can see, I like to add a lot!! Add the zest to the chocolate cream mixture and stir. Once all is combined, set to one side and get your now chilled mold!

Construction

When your shells of these vegan friendly easter treats are set, fill with the ganache mixture, leaving a bit of room to add more chocolate. Once you have filled with ganache, place in the freezer for 5-10 minuets whilst you tidy up. Once that time has passed, add the remaining chocolate on top of the ganache to seal it inside. Place in the fridge until set, I found overnight worked best!

And thats it! I said it was super simple! You can play around with different types of chocolates and flavours, depending on what you can get a hold of. I really want to try a peanut butter one at some point! If you make these vegan friendly easter treats don’t forget to tag me over on Instagram!
