When I found out I was pregnant, I had dreams of throwing all the best birthday parties. I LIVE for planning events and get far to into it. I have a whole board on Pinterest full of different themes I’d love to do as Molly grows up. A child’s First Birthday to me is super special. I wanted something quite simple as I knew it would be mainly adults attending. We decided to go with a little soft play around the corner from us and it was perfect.
The cake and biscuits were made by the beautiful Heidi from Heidi’s Cakes. Heidi creates the most stunning cakes, so as soon as I saw her Instagram I knew I wanted her to make Molly’s Birthday cake. The theme of Molly’s party was Winter ONEderland, so I had a rough idea of what I wanted. Heidi made that vision come to life with an simple yet exquisite cake, with the top tier being Vegan and the Bottom tier a Victoria sponge. I later found out she also made biscuits – so I added on some shaped as snowflakes, and some shaped as the number 1 with Moll’s name on.
We honestly had an amazing time. I can’t thank everyone who helped set up, who came to the party, who sent well wishes and bought Molly a gift. She was well and truly spoilt by everyone, and it made me well up at how loved she is. She has an amazing little support network around her and I couldn’t be more grateful.
