Dear Evelyn; Welcome to the World.

“There are words in the soul of a newborn baby, wanting and waiting to be written.” – Toba Beta

My Dearest Evelyn,

We have waited for you for what seems like forever. But on April 8th 2020 you came into our lives and completed our little family. You are so incredibly loved and so wanted by everyone. Pregnancy, just like your sister’s wasn’t easy, but we got there in the end and it was all totally worth it, because we have you! You big sister is completely smitten with you. She smothers you in kisses, helps to change your nappies and tends to your every cry. So doting and in love with you.

You have only been with us for 3 weeks, but you have changed our lives, in so many wonderful ways. Our chapter as a family of four is just beginning, and we can’t wait for the adventures we are going to have. Times are a little odd at the moment. However, we are trying our hardest to make the most of this time we get to spend together as a 4. Other family members are having to wait to meet you, but we are inundating them with all the photos.

You are changing so much already, it’s actually scary how fast time is flying. You’re going to move mountains my little one, you and your sister, and your dad and I promise to always be there for you both. To love and guide you the best that we can. As you sleep next to me, my heart is exploding with love, with pride and with joy. It’s impossible to put in to words how thankful I am for you and your sister, my beautiful rainbow babies.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along during our pregnancy journey and to those who have left comments via social media congratulating us. We’ve been overwhelmed by the love and kindness shown by you all. Full labour and delivery story coming to the blog very soon!

Little Evie, you’ve been a mischief maker before you even made it earthside! (I have to wonder if Disney Descendants had an influence on your name at all hehe). We can’t wait to see what you and your sassy sister are going to grow up to do. You’re loved, you’re supported and we’re all here for you and your family.
