Our Project Life in March

March has been an interesting month. It’s the month we saw the Corona Virus make it’s way around the world. Infecting and killing thousands, leaving many countries on lock down.

SBC March Social.

At the beginning of the month, before the madness started, Liam and I attended an event with the beautiful ladies from Surrey Blogger Collective. It was at Guildford Harbor Hotel, and was to celebrate the relaunch of their bar/resturant The Social. They had some gorgeous looking nibbles, but sadly a very limited vegetarian option, meaning Liam and I felt a little left out. Saying that, the venue and vegetarian options on the main menu look amazing, and I can’t wait to try them. The venue itself is gorgeous! Very modern, open plan and flows from one area to another wonderfully. They had Brazillian dancers, a DJ and a damn good mocktail selection!

Soft Play Fun!

We then went on a bit of a road trip to a soft play we had heard so much about. It was a 40 min drive from us, but 100% worth it! It had a huge multistory play area which Molly loved dragging Liam round, making him climb in and out of the ball pit! They also has a little street, where they had different “buildings” for little ones to explore. They had a post office, pizza place, garage, fire station, supermarket, vets and more. Molly really enjoyed dressing up and playing each role. Her imagination is just something else at this age, truly magical to watch. They also had a carousel and go karts that were free to ride as many times as you liked! There was also a messy play area, but we didn’t get to explore this. Once all of this is over, we can’t wait to go back! Take some friends and spend the day there. They do really good food have sofas for comfort and a whole area for babies.

Road Trip To My Mum’s

March also saw us make the 4 hour trip down to Somerset to surprise my mum for her 50th. My sisters knew all about it, but my mum had no idea. We arrived and met my sister and mum in Costa, Molly ran up to my mum who had no idea, and had to double take Molly. Safe to say she was surprised. For my mum’s birthday we all went out for a meal. Molly loved spending time with my family, especially her cousin Tia. If we lived closer they would be best friends, we are sure of it. It was only for 2 days, but it was so lovely to spend time with family.

I am glad we made the trip when we did, because not long after, the lock down was put into place. Because I am heavily pregnant, I have been put into the high risk category.  I managed 2 days of being able to go for a walk before I was told I needed to stay indoors and only leave for hospital appointments. It’s been tough, and long. Especially with a toddler. But Liam’s parents and Liam himself are now off too, so it’s make things so much easier than if I were on my own with Molly.

All we are waiting for now, is little ones arrival, then we can isolate in a newborn bubble!
