Our Project Life in February

February is the border between winter and spring. ~Terri Guillemets, “Years,” 2002

February was well and truly a odd month. I started it off in hospital with preterm labour scares. I was finally sent home under strict instructions to take it easy.  So that’s exactly what I did.

We put together some Valentines play for Molly, a tuff tray full of different things for her to explore. She completely loved it and it kept her occupied for well over an hour! We also made valentines cookies, Molly ate far too much raw biscuit dough and icing! But she had so much fun mixing the colours together.

We were then kindly invited to Bocketts Farm to have a look at their Feb half term activities. We had such an amazing time. Molly had the time of her life, and it wasn’t too busy, meaning Molly could run around. We watched the pig race, saw lots of animals, played on the trampolines and made crafts! They also had “The Giggle Company” – a fully interactive show full of songs, dancing, bubbles and snow! The hosts were amazing! At 2 years old, Molly was by far the youngest there, but she was in her element copying the older children.  She only attempted to run out the room once, which we took as a massive win! She was laughing and dancing and legit loving every second of it. Hopping like a bunny, imaginatively riding on a horse. Pretending to make a cake and singing Jelly on a plate whilst playing with a giant parachute filled with small balls! Best day ever!

We read many books, Had fun with Uncle Joe ( Liam’s Brother ) when he came to visit – Molly idolizes him! We went for short walks and then February also saw me back in hospital.

Hospital fun..

I spent another week at our local hospital with signs of preterm labour. This time, I ended up having to make a complaint against a consultant due to his lack of compassion and quite aggressive way of dealing/speaking to me. I was referred to the mental health team who honestly were/are the nicest, most caring people, and I am forever grateful to them for their help and support. Turns out I had a very bad urine infection as well as a slipped disc to go along with the contractions. Pregnancy is a blessing but it is also tough as hell!

Fingers crossed March is a slightly better month with less trips to the hospital!
