Glow Stick Sensory Bath | Blogtober Day 23

Ever since we took Molly swimming at 6 weeks old, she has been a water baby. Every time we take her swimming she is kicky feet, vocal and just so happy. She is the exact same when it comes to bath time. I decided to try and make bath times a little bit more fun!

We have a load of light up toys that are waterproof, so I chucked them in Molly’s bath, along with a load of glow sticks that I got from Asda. We had the glow wand that we got from Chessington World of Adventures in the sink flikering away. Turn off the lights and Boom – you’ve got your very own sensory bath experience!!

I’m sad and have a bath time playlist that I play 90% of the time that I give Bug a bath. I try to make it as fun experience as possible. Our full bedtime routine is coming soon, I’ll go into more detail about the playlist then!

Molly loved playing with the glow sticks and watching them swirl around. She also has 2 light up balls that we got from the works that light up when hit. Well, Molly has learnt how to turn them on and I couldn’t be more proud! She was in the bath, loving life until his skin was all wrinkled like a prune!

I think this is such a simple yet fun way to incorporate play into a daily routine for a child of any age!
